About Us

SALAM is a non-profit organization that was formed on 22nd July 1997 with 2 primary objectives; promoting and strengthening domestic and international voluntarism. The foundation was established to cultivate amongst Malaysians a tradition of community service through volunteer activity by providing persons with the opportunity to live and work with disadvantaged communities to provide relief, share skills and knowledge and build capacities, in the pursuit of a more just and equitable society.
