Dear friends and family, I am Ivon and this is my first year volunteering as a fundraiser with PeopleGiving. In the spirit of giving, I am pledging to raise funds for Walk2Inspire 2019’s charity beneficiaries: IJN Foundation and Tabung PPUMCare. Do support me in my pledge, every little bit counts!

Walk2Inspire is an annual charity fundraising event organized by PeopleGiving Association to raise funds for chosen charity causes of the year. Funds are raised through a fun filled day of 5km fun run/walkathon and charity booths which will be held on 17 November 2019 at University of Malaya.

This year, Walk2Inspire 2019 will be raising funds for the Patient Assistance Fund of Institut Jantung Negara Foundation (IJNF) and Tabung PPUMCare. Needy patients seeking treatment in the respective hospital may apply to the fund to receive financial relief for their medical treatment, procedure or medication.

There will also be a brave pediatric survivor of congenital heart disorder representing IJN Foundation in the event. Participants will have the opportunity to walk alongside with the survivor and be able to hear about their journey as well as learn more about the various causes that they are representing. The fund raised from this event will be donated equally to these 2 causes.

Last year, Walk2Inspire 2018 successfully raised RM 46,000 in donation to IJN Foundation and National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) with 500 participants attending the event. Through this donation, 3 pediatric patients were able to receive subsidy for their heart procedure at IJN hospital as well as support the stroke rehab session at 9 NASAM centers throughout Malaysia.
