The CauseThe National Cancer Council's (MAKNA) annual Klimb Kinabalu initiative serves to raise awareness on cancer, and raise funds for less privileged cancer patients. This year, I will be climbing Kinabalu with an amazing group of MAKNA volunteers and cancer survivors - the climb will take place from 29-30 July 2019. I hope to raise at least MYR 2,000 for MAKNA to assist with costs related to patient treatment, equipment, food supplements, etc which is provided by MAKNA to support cancer patients undergoing treatment, and even as they recover from treatment. How You Can HelpI'm reaching out to you via this platform as it allows for wider reach. I'm also trying to raise funds via other means, and hope that you will be able to contribute as well. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will go towards creating an impact on the recovery of a patient.Just to give you an idea of what your contribution could support:
Tax Exemption - All donations to MAKNA are tax exempt - MAKNA will issue an official receipt for your donations.
- MYR 500 will provide a patient with a chemo port for the administration of chemotherapy treatment
- MYR 1,000 will support 2 colon cancer patients (for 3 months) with colostomy bags, lessening discomfort and improving their quality of life.
- MYR 2,000 will support 2 patients (for 3 months) with Nutren Optimum Milk Powder food supplement to help patients gain strength while recovering from cancer treatment.
- Smaller amounts are more than welcome.
